Building a Boudoir Business That Moves With Me
I went to Vegas recently for a photography workshop—and honestly, it was a great excuse to get out, shoot, learn, and explore somewhere new.
The workshop itself was solid. I walked away with images I’m really proud of, connected with other photographers, and got to create in a totally different environment. But what really stuck with me was everything that happened outside of the workshop.
My partner and I turned the trip into a bit of a road adventure. We explored Utah, Zion National Park, Valley of Fire, and just took our time soaking it all in. The landscapes were unreal—huge skies, deep reds, soft sandstone curves that honestly felt like nature’s boudoir set. We hiked, we drove, we took a ton of photos/video, and somewhere in between all that, I realized something really simple:
I want to travel for work. Not just occasionally. Not just when it lines up perfectly. I want it to be part of how I do business moving forward.
It just makes sense. I’m already working on simplifying my sessions to make them more flexible and sustainable—for both me and my clients. Especially with my health being what it is (shoutout to POTS for always keeping things interesting), it feels important to build a workflow that actually works with my capacity and lets me work wherever I feel good.
So here’s what I’m working on next:
I’m shifting my sessions to be all-inclusive (one fee, no extra charges for digitals)
Zoom reveals instead of same-day galleries
New “Tease Me” mini sessions for folks wanting to try things out
And most exciting: I’m building out a travel schedule for the next 6 months
If there’s a place you’d love to see me pop up for sessions—shoot me a message. I’ll be posting my travel dates soon and opening up bookings for those cities. Don’t worry, my main focus will still be Denver and Alaska, but I’d love to find some space in-between. :)
In the meantime, here are a few favorites from the workshop and our desert wandering. I can't wait to shoot more like this—on the road, in beautiful places, with women who are ready to see themselves in a new way.
Thanks for being here.
xoxo,
Ashton
